Our experienced and caring practitioners support every child’s individual needs, helping them to thrive socially, emotionally and academically.

We work closely with families to provide the very best start for every child and pride ourselves on building strong relationships with parents and carers through open communication and partnership working. We hope you find our website informative and easy to navigate. Why choose us?

A Home Away From Home
We create a warm, nurturing environment where children feel safe, loved and valued. Strong relationships are at the heart of everything we do, helping every child grow in confidence and happiness.

Inspiring Curious Minds
Our carefully planned learning experiences encourage children to explore, question, create and discover through meaningful play, hands-on experiences and everyday learning opportunities.

Growing Together From 0–5 Years
We support children through every important stage of early childhood, providing care and education that evolves with each child’s individual needs, interests and development.

Childhood Filled With Wonder
From cosy story times to exciting outdoor adventures, we create magical early memories that spark imagination, creativity and a lifelong love for learning.

A True Partnership With Families
We believe parents are a child’s first and most important educators. By working closely together, we build trusting relationships that help children feel secure, supported and ready to thrive.

Trusted by Families Since 1999
For over 25 years, Heathcot Preschool has proudly been part of the local community, supporting generations of children with care, dedication and passion for early years education.

 Our Team

At Heathcot Preschool, our experienced and caring team is passionate about giving every child the very best start in life. We pride ourselves on creating a warm, inclusive and nurturing environment where children feel safe, supported and encouraged to reach their full potential.

Our team brings a wealth of experience and qualifications across early years education, including Early Years Teacher Status, BA (Honours) in Early Years, and Level 3, 4 and 5 qualifications in Childcare and Education.

We celebrate and value our diverse community and have staff who speak a range of languages including English, Urdu, Punjabi, Kashmiri, Gujarati, Pahari and Bengali. We also have practitioners who use Signalong to support communication and inclusion. If you would prefer support in a particular language, please speak to a member of our team.

Building strong relationships with children and families is at the heart of what we do. Through our key person approach, each child is supported by a dedicated practitioner who gets to know their individual needs, interests and development, working closely with families to support their learning journey.

Communication with parents is an important part of preschool life. We use the Famly app to share updates and communicate regularly with families, alongside face-to-face conversations, telephone, email and other methods where needed to ensure every family feels connected and informed.

Our Management Committee

Heathcot Preschool is a registered charity and is governed by a voluntary Management Committee made up of parents and members of the local community, including both current and past families of the preschool.

This community-led approach helps ensure that decisions are made with children and families at the heart of everything we do and reflects the needs of the families we support.

Our committee works closely with the leadership team to help maintain a high quality, sustainable and inclusive early years provision for all children.

The Management Committee is responsible for:

• Providing oversight of the preschool’s finances and long-term sustainability
• Supporting the recruitment and employment of staff
• Ensuring the setting has effective policies and procedures in place
• Promoting high standards of care, learning and safeguarding
• Encouraging strong partnerships between the preschool and families
• Supporting the strategic development and future growth of the setting

We are always keen to welcome new members and encourage parents and carers to get involved. If you would like to find out more about joining our committee, please speak to a member of staff or contact the committee via email:
